Yes, they are both hot sauces but they are remarkably good.

I have never seen anything quite like this sauce. Found it a Mexican supermarket in Portland. It’s almost like chipotle ketchup if you dialed down the ketchup to 10% and dialed up the chipotle to 90%. It’s ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and I’m putting it on everything. It’s not even quite as hot as Tabasco but it has a rich chipotle flavor I cannot get enough of.

This sauce originated from peppers grown in the backyard of a fire station in Palo Alto, CA, by a firefighter. It was recommended to me on Twitter and has won multiple awards. (It also comes in a hotter Habanero version and an even hotter Ghost Pepper version.) It reminds me of Tapatio but it has some additional spices WHICH I LOVE and make me want to drink the whole bottle. It also comes in a 64 oz. jug which I am considering getting (so I can drink it the whole jug, of course). Here’s link to their site and also to this on Amazon
